Back to The Solar BiennaleThe second edition will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts (mudac) and will feature Soleil·s, a major exhibition running from the spring equinox to the autumn equinox of 2025 (March 21 - September 21).
Located in Lausanne, Switzerland, mudac is a leading institution dedicated to exploring the intersections of design, art, and applied creativity. Situated in the vibrant Plateforme 10 arts district, the museum is celebrated for its innovative exhibitions and its commitment to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on contemporary issues.
Titled Soleil·s, the Biennale invites visitors to explore the multifaceted significance of the sun through design, art, and research. Hosted across the Plateforme 10 arts district and the EPFL (The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, public research University) campus, the exhibition features a variety of displays, including immersive installations, innovative new commissions, a solar punk short story collection, as well as a dense program of activities making it a groundbreaking second edition of the biennale.
